I just pulled up his twitter. Didnt see anything like that. I auto-download his podcast on IHeart. I usually listen, but he stopped doing regular podcasts back in April. He did one for media days---but thats all I show for the AAC Daily. Thats usually how it goes--he stops in the spring and then his show comes back right before football season.

We should be encouraging if not supporting any & all legit media including Cox - who seems to have had a real interest in the AAC & its member schools since the inception of the conference, to write, video, podcast, etc any and all AAC news. Just common sense..........

Was trying to find them in my twitter highlight emails, but can't find them for direct quotes. The first one said something like, as hard as he tried, the conference is not supportive of the podcast, and thanked everyone for listening. The second was a salty one about the conference using the power6 label but not meaning it, or something like that.

Since then, he's deleted both, and seems to be back to retweeting all things AAC. Nothing directly from him since though.

Only thing I can guess (and it's a complete guess) is that maybe he asked for an interview with Aresco or one of the coaches, and got turned down. Maybe just had a bad day. Remains to be seen whether the show will ever come back. I didn't think the end of week game previews were terrible. It's something. ESPN sometimes goes months without writing anything on our schools despite being our media partners. If I go on 247, half of our articles come with an auto-play video about Clemson's DB battle or Notre Dame's over/under for some reason.

I challenged him a few times when he was throwing out ra ra BS and flat out lying. He ended up blocking me. He just puffs up whatever team is doing well at teh time. He has swung between Memphis and UCF alot but will cuck out to whomever gives him the most clicks.
Most of his "insider" information is total crap that is made up or flat out stolen from people who really know.

I recall prior to mediadays - cac said there would be two days of coverage. We only got one.

i always keep a eye on his twitter as he supports the whole AAC P6 movement heavily.
and he also throws out some tidbits either way he is a fan and i support that as i would any of you.

Kinda my feeling. During the season, its a daily podcast. No other G5 has that---so its a feather in our cap as far as Im concerned. He has coaches on and has had Aresco on a couple of times. I listen to it almost daily during the season while I exercise. I hope it returns this season.

I don't see any reason to throw dirt on him. As stated, he does a free podcast and is extremely supportive of this conference. If you don't like him don't listen to him and don't follow him. No reason for any negativity though.

I throw dirt on him because he lies. Some of his stuff was ripped off from other writers. Then he says over the top crap to keep AAC fans coming to him. Its sensationalized crap and not journalism.

I think you're describing exactly what happens on Twitter. One writer puts up a post, and every other team reporter re-tweets the same thing. Cox just said some of it on a podcast rather than retweeting.
