Bigger question is, any chance the Big East is talking to WSU about being #12 lol.

This place would explode.

Mods: Please, if this happens, please please please allow Coldblooded full reign up in here for 24 hours.

Plus, Kansas probably wouldn't be scared of playing you in that sport. 04-cheers

That’s the problem. If we start a football team, then KU will want a football team and they’ll call the NCAA every twenty minutes complaining how we violated some rule... It would just be ugly...

You have to know a little WSU/KU/NCAA/MedSchool/BoR history, but this post is solid gold.

I remember attending WSU v. MSU games back in college. If your school decide to do it, I think it would be terrific. You have the history.

I agree. Why wouldn't they? That would solve our problem, and they couldn't help but be better than Uconn right out of the chute.

Since we are already in a better conference, there isn't as much benefit to it. So in short .. no there isn't a chance. Also keep in mind that the President that commissioned that study passed away a few months ago.

Thanks for answering. I wasn't aware that's why the feasibility study was done. The way I see it y'all are set for conference membership. I liked everything about Wichita going to the AAC almost the way I'd like to see VCU or ODU in the AAC. A good fit for both sides.

Would love for this to happen! However with the death of our President, it is highly unlikely that we get someone to replace him that has the Moxy to pull this off. The only way it comes back now is if the AAC applies some pressure to us to either revive the sport or get lost.

No thanks. If we're expanding West, then BYU or Boise St are much better football targets.

I would love to see WSU have football again, but I just don't see it happening.

WSU had a record of 63-148-4 over the last 20 years of the program. Look at the history of the 2 FBS programs already in Kansas and it isn't all that pretty, to add a 3rd trying to compete in an already saturated market would be tough. Look at the struggles the chickenhawks have had sustaining anything and if it wasn't for a fellow named Snyder KSU would probably still hold the record for the worst program in FBS history.
