Other emotional arguments include the women's basketball coverage - which could still get them sublicensed and available to the fanbase right? WBB $ shouldn't be a factor -- $4M + $1M << $7M. So it comes down to hurt feelings that they won't be on SNY as much.
Rivalries? I guess Nova, Georgetown, St John's...but the conference ISN'T the conference they are pining for.

MBB recruiting in the Northeast hurt by the AAC? I don't know - big city ballers aren't waiting for a recruiting pitch of playing DePaul and Marquette - they respond to playing in tournaments and for national championships. Which Hurley and UConn should be able to do/pitch in the AAC. Again - MSG is the only difference.

This might be true. Stupid, but UConn administrators do plenty of stupid things. We'd better make sure the $10M exit fee is a certified check though - UConn finances are pretty shaky.

Deathknoll for UConn’s hopes of ever getting into a P5 if true. Not that I think it’s a bad move for them. UConn FBS football was an abomination, should just kill the program.

Well since UConn can’t win at Fifth Third maybe they’ll have some luck down the street.

At this point they are probably our 6th or 7th most important member. It’s not like we are losing UCF or Houston.

For football it will be an instant upgrade with WHOEVER we bring in.

UConn is making a huge mistake here. They're going to assure that their football program remains terrible and irrelevant for decades now just so they can make a parallel move in basketball. It makes no sense.

I can see UConn dropping football, but I am not sure moving to the BE is in their best financial interest. The numbers will tell the tale.

The AAC has no use for UConn without their storied basketball programs. AAC membership is all or nothing
