GT Spring Game
It happened on Friday, but I encourage even non-GT fans to go watch it to get a one hour crash course into the just jarring difference culturally between Collins and Johnson. It's on WatchESPN. Collins hasn't taken a snap yet, but he grades out as an A on culture, marketing, media, branding, and uniting the fan base. And if we're grading honestly based upon what Johnson did recruiting ... he is at least a B+ in recruiting.
There's some things in there any CFB fan will appreciate. They had a gimmick play where Joe Hamilton was to throw it to Calvin Johnson. They had Bobby Ross with an interview. They had Roddy Jones talking about how he's going to be on the ACC Network now and what he would be doing for them. And there's some intriguing looks at what Adidas has in mind for the first non-Russell GT uniforms in over a decade. And the first play on offense they started in the triple option and then motioned out to a spread empty set to applause. GT set a spring game attendance record of 21,200.

RE: GT Spring Game
Now if he can find a way to hang with Clemson for at least a half, and win the first 3 OOC games...
It does seem like Collins is doing a great job of selling the program... And TBH, ESPN helped by hiring a GT guy and then announcing it when they did.
