New NCAA overtime rule
After 5 overtimes, they're going to alternate 2 point conversions from the 3.

So, what you're saying is that the Broncos NCAA record will never be broken.....

Unfortunately a SEC game went to 7 OT last year and scored more points.

"Sudden Death" is still better.

College overtime is like the shootout in hockey; it's not really football. I like the NFL's modified sudden death rules that allows the other team to have a possession unless a TD is scored.

I wouldn't want my conference championship hopes ended on a sudden death OT. You could lay a egg against a really bad team, give up a long FG and your season is toast without the option to redeem the score. That could kill a G5 conference hoping to spot light a very good member post season.

Agreed.

Remember this play from Thanksgiving 1980?

Of course, either system is better than a tie.
