Using Eskridge?
In other news, we kind of have a true beat writer once again: https://www.mlive.com/broncos/2019/03/wm...fense.html

So, it looks like the experiment is working. So, how much should we use Eskridge on each side of the ball? Assuming Dowels is not back and that Temple transfer can't get medically cleared, he's a top 3 CB, and probably still our #2 WR.

I suppose I would take a few formations/plays that utilize his talents and use him in those, then have him in the starting rotation at CB. Maybe 40 defensive and 20 offensive snaps a game. We need more defensive help than offensive help, especially if Bussell and the freshmen live up to their billing.

Or, you could base it on entire games. Does he match up well against their receiver? Play him mostly on defense. Can we exploit their defense and they have poor relievers? Utilize him mostly on offense.

RE: Using Eskridge?
With the WR lineup Lester has I don't see Eskridge lining up on offense very often. I think that is a carrot to sell Dee into the D concept.

If Hall lives up to billing, Arnett plays fine, and one of our freshmen are ready to go, no. Ricci is a threat at TE, and we have a senior QB who can get the ball out. Defense is still the weakness.

I predict he plays mostly corner unless the injury bug hits us at WR. Unless some of the CB freshmen are ready, or Lupro makes a smooth transition.
