In a testimony to Congress on Wednesday, Cohen admitted to working out hush money payments for Trump, who he now accuses of being a racist and a conman

The deal with Hachette's imprint Center Street eventually fell apart after Cohen was charged with the crimes that will now land him in prison for three years

Cohen also told Congress he would not rule out accepting TV, movie or book deals

Well, I don't worry about it because it won't really happen unless your party and Trump make it easy for them to do it. You know, with bogus emergency declarations and all. Outside of that, you don't get socialism just by electing one Democrat.

Well, I don't really care how we don't get socialism, I just want to make sure we don't. And right now, republicans are doing a piss-poor job of preventing it. But at least they aren't committed to it like democrats.

The republicans may be doing poorly but at least they aren't supportive of it. The GOP may indeed be a classic example of the lesser of two evils but I think if so then it's by orders of magnitude rather than by degrees. I have no conflict when voting for a republican over a democrat, none. The only democrat I've ever voted for was a confirmed blue dog.

Speaking of blue dog democrats I saw mention in a story of a coalition of them who purport to still be in existence. I didn't pursue it any farther than the byline though. IMO it doesn't get much more moderate than supporting 2A, a strong national defense, fiscal responsibility and certain "left leaning" social issues involving safety nets for those who have a legitimate need. I could probably entertain getting behind a candidate like that.
