Just wondering what App, Coastal, Texas State, and Troy fans think of their new head coach and coaching staff. Should go without saying, but don't vote if you're not a fan of one of the four teams with a new head coach. Four responses for each team.

I predict Texas State most satisfied, then App, then Troy, then Coastal.

Well, "The Fire Teis" movement had at least one positive effect. In an effort to save his own arse, Larry canned "Brother Bill" Withers, and was forced to make a hire that may right our floundering football ship.

Are we happy with Spav? Damn right. But after 3 wasted years with Withers, we'd be happy with most anybody.

The Big question now, Will Spav continue to get the resources and support he needs to make the program successful?

I voted mostly satisfied, a few concerns. Those concerns being recruiting so far. While I have high expectations for 2020 and beyond I'm a bit disappointed in the lack of urgency to add anything to this 2019 class. Seems the Spav staff was content to basically hold on to the Withers recruits and call it a class.

I am mostly satisfied, esp with HC and OC solutions, we lost some very good position coaches that can’t be replaced at Troy...so some minor concerns.

Well, UNCConcord isn't giving him much to be a fan about.

I'm very satisfied. I think Chip Lindsey's offensive philosophy is very similar to Neal Brown's, and Lindsey is always evolving the offense to new plays and new strategies like Brown did. I think the DC hire is great also, since he's a young, energetic guy that was hired by Neal Brown originally and recommended by Vic Koenning... plus the DC coached under Brent Venables for a while when they were together at Oklahoma...

Add in that Lindsey has shown he can recruit, he's been pining for the Troy job for nearly a decade, and has managed to keep all of Neal Brown's recruits from the early signing period... I'm impressed.

I get the recruiting concerns; however, I'm not sure it's "that big a deal" yet. The one thing that everyone said EW did well was recruit. But it never translated to wins on the field. I give Spav a pass on this recruiting class.

Let's see what he does with the table EW set, and how he recruits from here on out.

my pleasure with the hire is on tops. I still would have rather kept Withers for one more year and got a new AD instead though.
