It's relevant now ain't it. That's twice as many as you were able to muster over a looooooooooong time. We like long times.

I'm okay with the personal insults. Let the record speak for itself. Six coaching transition during the time those trophies/rings were won. ZERO for App. Enjoy the moment.

You are still in the wrong thread. Weird flex, but ok.

Nah it's the right thread. GS enters the league with a first year head coach and dominates year one with an FCS roster and we're apparently suppose to be impressed with App winning conference titles. Good GS coaches are more often given lot's of money to leave. GS's transition has included more than just FCS to FBS. But let's pretend it never happened so the goat lovers can pat themselves on the back.

This thread is literally about FCS-to-FBS. Feel free to start another thread about your 33-year-old accomplishments in FCS.

How is pointing out the elephant in the room irrelevant based on the comment? He pointed to TS's record as not being sufficient to justify an argument for GS's performance. I point out the other THREE coaching transitions and it's irrelevant. I point out the FCS rings just for the rub and now that's all we're talking about.

Fun fact is still fun. Our transition is still better when you take out Tyson Summers. Also, you may have missed this: 05-stirthepot

I'll say this in hopes of ending the spitball contest. In our first year of the transition App was stinking up the place monumentally. For the first time and likely the only time in my life I felt threatened by all the crap being heaped on you goat lovers. Look back at the thread going into your first meeting with ASU. See who had your back and guess who was right. You buncha freakn babies. I'll stand by my signature. When times get tough crAppy fans act like a bunch of girls without a date to the dance.

Old Yeller, not sure what you're getting at but the reality is App State's transition was better than ours, if only by a little bit. It's what happens when you stick with what works. It could possibly be a different story had we not thrown the triple option out the window with the TS hire, but it is what it is.

Historically speaking, we're pretty much joined at the hip - from statistics down to staff members with App State affiliations:

Very interesting that since the modern era of GS football began, the lowest points of our program have simultaneously been around the highest points of App's program and vice-versa. In fact, throughout our history, this is the first year our programs are both trending upward at the same time. It's also a testament to App's consistency and Georgia Southern's ability to make quick turn arounds.

TruBlue - That chart is definitely interesting. We haven't outpaced App State since Jeff Monken. The only times we've ever outpaced them at all was when were running the triple option with a high degree of efficiency. Continuity is a beautiful thing - look no further than App State's line on the graph for proof of that. We do quick turnarounds, but the fact they're turnarounds is an obvious indicator of a deviation from the mean. On that note, it's a kick in the gut seeing how extraordinarily bad TS is visually speaking, compared to BVG. Our chart looks like a ping pong match compared to theirs. Also, the visual of Chad Lunsford's peformance looks extraordinary - nearly matching App State's excellent year at the close of this season. Can we please stick with the option lol

Love the hate. Keep on the horse, our sixth year was another 11-2 season, another conference championship and another bowl win. So if you can win just 17 games next year you can catch our win total.
