The bottom didn't really fall out until the last two years of Pastner and the two years of Tubby. In 2013-14 Memphis was ranked as high as the top 15 at some point.

I know what you mean though--I'm surprised we rank so high given the overall slow slide of the past few years.

10 years ago, we were #14 for the modern era (when the NCAAT went to 64) from 1985 until then.

It looks like we will add at least one more elite player in five star Trendon Watford to this year's already stellar class. I suspect we will be ranked in the top 25 at the beginning of the 2019-20 season.

Great website, I decided to look at the modern era since the tournament expanded in ‘85, the rankings are:

9. UConn
18. Cincinnati
27. Memphis
45. Temple
60. Wichita State
74. SMU
82. Tulsa
92. Tulane
119. Houston
126. UCF
Looks like ECU and USF have never been ranked.

Surprised to see Houston so low but they are making up for it this year.

I went through different eras and one thing that was consistent is UC, very impressive. Hopefully as a league we can add to this list, my money is on Navy to dominate

No, but I absolutely could see it being a 6 or 7 bid league. We got two top flight JUCO PGs coming in next year, a SG who I was indifferent on I am now hearing is a stud, and I'd say we have 3 guys on the existing roster that can compete in this league.

If we land 2-3 solid players in the spring I absolutely can see a massive leap forward. Especially knowing about a couple of the guys are after.
