Absolutely not. First---we promised Navy we would not do that. Secondly, it reduces the number of chances for P5 OOC games. Third, becasue there must be a loser for every winner in a conference schedule, it guarantees that half the conference will lose one more game. Finally, it means that some teams will have more conference home games than others in any given season. Yes, that advantage will flip flop every year---but in any given year, it is silly that the home/away schedule should offer a significant advantage to half the conference. I prefer a more balanced 8 game schedule with 4 home and 4 away for every team every single year.

AC covered all the bases here. Stick to 8.

I , as a Memphis fan would rather play Ucf, so Florida, Cincinnati, temple more than 2 out of four years and forget the south Alabama, Mercer games. 9 is the smartest thing to do. ( that’s probably why so many on here like 8)

After we add BYU and Boise and Memphis moves back to the East division all will be well.

Nobody forcing Memphis to play bad Sun Belt/FCS teams.

I want to play less conference games not more. I cringe everytime we have to play Tulane, ECU, or UCONN.

The AAC is far too weak to justify the 9-game schedule. All it does is guarantee additional losses throughout the conference.

Bingo. I would be 100% against going to 9 games for the reasons Attackcoog stated.

AAC needs to expand and stick to 8 conference games. Then, go divisionless, stack the schedules for the regional rivalries and best TV matchups, and have the top-2 in the CFP rankings meet for the CCG.

UCF wants a 6 game schedule so that we can do more home and homes with P5 schools.

Houston has a .666 winning percentage vs those 3 schools since 2014. Sad!

Sounds like Houston needs less conference games, more FCS ones. Just like UCONN!

ECU isn’t going to be down forever. We’ve had some pretty good years and beaten most of the teams in this league many times. Things are about to change at ECU.

We actually should go to 7 conference games and have 5 non conference games to give our teams more chances to beat and schedule P5 teams.
