Exclamation Tulsa DC Bill Young Retires
Tulsa defensive coordinator Bill Young (age 72) has decided to retire ending a 50 year coaching career. He had an amazing career with stops at 10 colleges, 3 Oklahoma high schools and the Detroit Lions. This included stints at all 3 Oklahoma universities (Tulsa twice) Ohio State, Miami, USC, and Kansas (when they were good). Congratulations Coach Young!

His replacement has not been announced. Does anyone have an idea who it may be?

We have 9 starters returning on defense so there's potential to be really good on that side of the ball.

I feel like he could recruit well. He has deep pockets.

Problem is that he will try to sell Low T services to the fans from the sidelines

I wish Memphis could hire him as an Independent Contractor for our bowl game 2 1/2 hours from now.

I think he really did retire on his own terms. Said he considered it last year but decided to stay. I don't think Monty pushed him out like his alma mater did because they thought he was too old.
