I’m sure scouts are aware of our QB situation . The stats from this year to last year will no doubt be put into the decision to draft any player.

I don't like this, but after this season I can understand why he would come to the decision. I imagine Mitchell will become the #1 wideout. Some people are going to have to step up.

Can only hope the best for him. My opinion is meaningless on when somebody should leave for the NFL. I hope it works out for him and his dream comes true

I also don't blame him for leaving even though I'm not convinced he is ready for that step. Tough to know how it would turn out with our offense next year, and it would do him no good unless he was totally committed to another year of college football.

Hope to see at least 1, if not all 3, of those great receivers get drafted. I agree that all 3 should get shots as undrafted free agents if not.

Plenty of opportunities for young receivers in the program to step up & claim playing time next season. I don't think Mitchell, Phillips or McKinley-Lewis have a lock on anything, including kickoff/punt returns. While I will miss DJ, JJ & Thompson as much as any other fan, I am looking forward to seeing the "new future" for the Rockets--even if it means a few bumps along the way to another MAC championship. Build for the future.

He just announced he is leaving to pursue the NFL draft

If he doesn’t get drafted, does he have the option to come back?

Does whether or not he signs with an agent also factor in?

Whether a player signs with an agent or not does not matter. Once declared for the draft (NFL allows a last opt out date in January for college eligible players to undeclare), any player going into the draft can not than return to college, regardless of drafted or not or if signed with an agent or not.

That's not entirely correct. If he signs with an agent right away he is no longer eligible for NCAA athletic status, even if he has not hit the cut-off date.

Can't argue that. He seems like a good kid. I doubt he gets drafted though. Lance wasn't drafted, Page wasn't drafted, and he didn't have their careers... Best of luck to him. Our last drafted WR was Carl Ford.
