RE: MBB Polls (Week 4)
In the coaches poll, UCF received 9 votes (tied for 37th) and Houston 7 (T40th).

Weird that Cincy is getting no love at 5-1.

Big games during the week:

Temple-Missouri on Tuesday
UCF-Bama on Thursday

Then a BUNCH of big games on Saturday and Sunday.

That's surely because all the pollsters read Bearcat Banter daily and have learned from all the experts on there how completely terrible we are.

This is so true, I admit that I'm a partial contributor to the discontent, but still hilariously accurate nevertheless.

RE: MBB Polls (Week 4)
This year the AAC is pretty bad in hoops. I'm literally looking at box scores of us losing tons games against nobody's. 2 bid league if we are lucky.

Cincinnati always gets overlooked in early season polls. Last year was the first time in the Mick Cronin era we have been ranked top 20 in the preseason.

No kidding. I've been waiting THREE DECADES for the Coogs to be relevant in basketball, and when it finally looks like we have a real team, the bottom third of our conference is historically crappy, and our top OOC opponents are showing major deficiencies.

I will say this, although the bottom portion of the conference has some really BAD losses so far (I'm looking at you guys, ECU and SMU), there are some really good OOC showcase opportunities coming up for the contenders that can change the perception of the AAC.

The bottom third is much improved...
