Normally I’d prefer a P5 Bowl game, but I’d make an exception for any of the three.

And what a crock. 10-2 with wins over 4 Bowl teams and unranked. This is a shot at the whole conference.

If UCF beats Memphis and doesn't get in all G5 teams just have to accept the fact that it is all but impossible to get in. The cartel would never let it happen. Close but no cigar doesn't get it done.

UCF needed that 12th win over another P5 opponent.

I know the hurricane washout week opponent was lowly UNC, but it would have been a romp win and UNC does have a win over now 24th ranked and ACC CG participant Pittsburgh.

This type of thinking drives me nuts. A win over UNC would have mattered? Why? Simply because their jersey says "ACC"? This is a team that ECU annihilated for God's sakes.

It would have done NOTHING for UCF.

They beat Pitt? Ok- UCF annihilated Pitt.

It's so sad that people still clamor on ESPN "too bad that P5 UNC game was cancelled!" while they ignore the fact that we faced and beat MUCH better teams right here in the AAC.

If UCF were to get in, that would all but guarantee that the "playoff" will expand. There is no way that the commissioners of the so called "Power 5" conferences would sit by and watch their teams get squeezed out by a "G5" team.

I've said this before but UCF likely doesn't get in but a very possible disaster scenario still exists for the P5 if UGA beats AL. Committee won't keep AL out with one loss, so its Clemson, ND, AL & UGA with B1G, B12 & P12 out in the cold. That is a sure fire way to get the playoffs expanded - and that because it DID NOT involve a G5 school getting in. With 3 of the P5 conferences left out - especially the B1G & with ND looking like a long term contender under Brian Kelly, expansion will be an immediate topic among the P5.

This might be the year they'd let UCF in since Milton is hurt and they'd little to no chance against Alabama. Play a back up QB, lose by 20+ and then they can "justify" never letting a G5 in again.
