Toledo vs ULL (bball Tuesday)
Seminfinals game tomorrow in the Gulf Coast Classic. We just killed FGCU by 28 with the best game of our centers career.

Does anyone have insight on ULL and how they play? Toledo was 13th mid major pre season and sit just outside the top 25 at 27th while are 3-1 on the season.

Cajuns are 2-2 on the year, but both losses are to top 10 teams. Tennessee handled us pretty easily, but we were only down 4 to Kansas until our center fouled out with about 4 minutes left. We ended up losing by 15 or so. We were not challenged at all in our other 2 games; so it is a little difficult to guage where we are right now.

We return 3 starters and our 7th and 8th guys from last year's 27 win team, but all 3 guys that graduated were 1000 point career scorers, and one had 1000+ rebounds as well.

The Cajuns will push the pace and are very aggressive defensively. I expect that you will be a slight favorite, but I expect the game to be close.

RE: Toledo vs ULL (bball Tuesday)
Just looking at the schedule, the Teledo schedule to date is much lighter than the Cajuns, so it is hard to make any kind of comparison. (basically I mean the Cajuns played #2 Kansas & #5 Tennessee) It does appear that the FGCU win was a good win for Toledo as they played a pretty salty schedule. The Cajuns were ahead like 28 last night before the coach stared to clear the bench. (he always seems to do that in blowout games.) It is hard to get a feel for how this one will go, but I expect it to be a good close game. This is a good opportunity for both clubs to play an out of conference game against another decent mid-major on a neutral court. It should be fun.

Toledos schedule is filled with good mid majors, but no Power beefy names. Buffalo is ranked 22 in the country after returning basically everyone from a season ago when they knocked off Arizona in the big dance.
We play 6 or 7 NCAA tourney teams on the schedule. Toledo is picked between 2nd and 4th in the league. This year could set up to be a 2 bid year for the conference but it hasn't happened in 20 years so I wont hold my breath.

Toledo is an all or nothing team. We play little defense outside of some blocked shots by our 7 foot center. He is really more of a 4 than a 5 though. He won't back you down, he'd rather take a 15 foot J. Toledo lives and dies by the 3. Navigato and Sanford are the players to watch.

RE: Toledo vs ULL (bball Tuesday)
Just to clarify, my intent was not to dis the schedule Toledo plays, just to say our schedule thus far as been a little tougher with the Vols and the Jayhawks so it is difficult to compare the teams based on this year's play to date. Other than those teams, the Cajuns played a very weak NAIA team and Colorado State. Colorado State had 3 wins coming in to their game against the Cajuns, but all of them were against inferior competition. Perhaps tonight's game will give us an idea where both teams are at.

The Cajuns did win 27 games last season, but injuries did them in during the post season so the post season ended up being a disappointment.

Simple answer tonight. Toledo made shots, Cajuns didn't.
