It means a great deal, since our goofball staff threw away the first month of league play.

However, you’re going to get the snot kicked out of you Saturday.

Ours needed the practice so we loaned him to you for that attempt.

Us Red Wolves fans don't take any win for granted. We've been so inconsistent this year, we could beat a Top 25 team and then lose to a 2 win team. Nothing is safe this year. I've stopped giving predictions completely.

I think it was more of an issue of you guys playing the good teams in the conference early, not anything about the staff throwing it away.

ULL isn’t a good team. I’ll let Georgia Southern take that moniker though.

Y'all won that day but not a better team. I will go with GS the same way. App was better then. I think it would be a dog fight now.

Arkansas St. is playing very well right now. I didn’t think we were really out talented, but you guys have been there before and we got too emotional. Your players were clutch and made plays when you had to. You were the better team, as we are still learning how to win and deal with success. We are headed the right direction though.

Except we dont have a kicker. ?

We score a safety, and a touchdown, but by some random freak rule... We only get the XP.

I present the One-Point Safety:

Scored here by the kicking team, but can theoretically be scored by the defensive team on a PAT by returning the ball all the way to the other end of the field, fumbling, having the kicking team recover and retreat into their own endzone. Only way to have only 1 point in American Football (Canadian has a special rule) but I don't know if there has ever been one scored by the defense, let alone as its first point of the game.

PS, had to pick the one-point safety with Coach Fran for you.

This actually fits better... as the defense scores all the points for us.

stAte's offense is shut down, but the offense commits roughly 47 turnovers... all returned for touchdowns.

Making this the most lopsided defensive battle in football history.

AState wins 6-2. We score a single TD but miss the extra point. Texas State gets their only points when Hansen trips over the T in the Texas state end zone.

At the end of the game, both fan bases collectively ram their head against the wall to attempt to wipe the game from their memory. Since they've done this all season, a few Texas State fans keel over from consistent head injuries. They gain automatic entrance to heaven by St Peter because as he so eloquently put it, "being a Texas State fan is suffering enough"

Texas St. has a damn good defense. Holding Troy at Troy to around 200 yards is impressive.

Yeah, our D is legit. I just don't see us being able to score enough points to overcome whatever StAte does offensively. Our O line tends to perform like a sieve.

And honestly, after the Sunday announcement of Withers getting canned, I've no idea
how our guys will respond. Will they lay down, go through the motions, and just close out the season. Or will they show up, put out a max effort, and go into the off-season on a positive note.
