Looks like the Rockets are cutting Melo to put him on a full roster spot and give him his minutes I guess until they can find someone else. Not bad for an undrafted guy, clearly looks like he's good enough to make a rotation.

I lived in Denver throughout Melo's time with the team. He was all about Melo then, and nothing has changed with him (except a huge drop in his abilities). I'd be hard-pressed to name a player who is more the opposite of Melo than Gary Clark. Really great news for Gary.

Rockets coach said in an interview he can't believe he was undrafted and there are not 40 guys better than Gary (speaking of draftees).

Good for Gary. Lots of good representation from the AAC rookies this year. Landry has been doing well for the 76ers including starting a few games so far.

I would think the Butler trade will only open up more minutes for him as he can capably play as the compliment to Simmons or Butler while the other rests.

I would think you will see an immediate improvement in game flow from Clark for Melo at Houston. He's a hard worker, plus rebounder, team oriented guy on a team that wants to run and gun. He will fit in very nicely there while Melo was a good example of one more mouth to feed from the same bowl. I wouldn't be surprised to see him end up in Los Angeles where they need a scorer and LeBron can cover Melo's deficiencies similar to what he did for JR Smith's.

He's almost 24 years old. That's mostly why he had little draft interest, they pretty much saw him as a near finished product. At least with someone 20 you can talk yourself into more upside.

How many AAC players are in the NBA? Not G-League, just the Association.

WSU has three- Baker/Knicks, VanVleet/Raptors, Shamet/76ers

It was humorous to see Melo go 0-8 shooting in his 1st return trip to OKC after leaving for Houston.

That’s really not a bad number at all. I see both Memphis and UConn’s numbers increasing a good amount in the next few years. UCF will be in this list after this year. Really surprised Temple doesn’t haven’t a couple. Wichita and Cincy have both proven to be programs 3 and 4 star guys can come in and develop to have a shot at making the league.

It would be nice if Cincy could land 1 top 50 guy a year. This will be a very down year for the league. But I see both Memphis and UConn getting back to where they were shortly ago. As long as Wichita retains there coach they will be back. Hopefully Cincys new arena helps our recruiting. If Temple makes the right hire I think they’ll be a top team in the conference. Houston and SMU can be solid. Overall this can be a real nice b-ball league also.

I think some of those players didn't actually play in the AAC. Houston has at least 2 active guys in the league rn, with one of them having played in the AAC.

Of D'Antoni's praise, Clark said, "It's all cool. That's what I do. I'm a player.

"People say it's ugly. People have a lot of questions, why is this kid on the court and so forth. But when it comes down to winning, I do the things that a team needs. I don't always score. I won't ever complain about scoring or shots. But you'll see me getting steals, rebounds, blocking shots, getting other guys opportunity to score. All I'm about is winning."

D'Antoni couldn't write a better help wanted ad then the list Clark just rattled off. Those things will make the Rockets dangerous with the beard destroying people.

Thanks for the correction. Yeah, I saw one listing with a handful of non-AAC players from Big East schools who were technically in the American for a year. The Houston players must have pre-dated the American, but they certainly count in my mind. By the way, where is Rob Gray? G-League? He's going to be on a NBA roster

Clark will grow into scoring, but he does all of the blue collar stuff.

If you are using that metric, 2 of WSUs players never played in the AAC.
