You guys do look very good. Last week was a better metric though. We are just a bad football team this year. We have been blown out by every SBC team not named TXST that we’ve played. I’m still optimistic that we made the right hire, but man it’s tough to watch this every week. At least Joey Jones kept most games close and made us feel like we always had a chance. This year, the games are usually over by halftime.

I'll second that. Happy to see others moving closer to the top of the conference. Win out and go whip some OOC team's fannies like y'all did ours.

That is what is worrying me. At least with Joey’s teams we were always almost there. I get a new system, buts it’s the same guys, I was hoping it was coaching before that was holding them back, now I’m wondering if it wasn’t coaching that made them almost there. I’m willing to give Campbell a couple years, but year 1 hasn’t been good.

No doubt he deserves a couple more years to get his players. I’m a bit concerned about his ability to recruit though. I’m a believer in recruiting rankings and he’s not looking like he’s bringing in top notch (Top SBC that is) talent so far. Hopefully the stadium announcement can help that.
We will see next year how good of a coach he is. I don’t expect him to go 8-0 in conference, but he needs to show drastic improvement over this year. I refuse to accept that almost every SBC team if 30 points better than us in talent.

Campbell has had success at every level in every position, I think he can be successful in FBS. I just hope he isn’t to old to bring in the recruits. Seems the successful coaches in G5 are younger guys that can relate to the players. He’s gonna have to prove he can win to start getting the recruits.
