Feds give NCAA a green light to investigate basketball scandal
https://sports.yahoo.com/feds-give-ncaa-...02043.html

"The federal government has given the NCAA a nod of approval to begin looking into potential NCAA violations tied to certain schools implicated in the federal basketball investigation, according to multiple sources. This serves as the first step of what could be one of the broadest and most important investigations in the history of the NCAA’s enforcement division."

Good.

The Rick Pitino Violation Era of Louisville Cardinal Basketball can finally start to close.

It will be interesting to see how hard the hammer is for the Cards, (considering that no kid caught up in the FBI investigation played one minute for Louisville, and none of the corrupt coaches involved are still with the program) and what other schools get ensnared in this investigation, with coaches who were arrested, and players who played full seasons for their school, despite being ineligible, and coaches STILL coaching even after being caught up in the FBI proceedings.

Don't worry they will nail Louisville and let Kentucky, North Carolina, Kansas, Miami and everyone else in college basketball off with a warning.

I was listening to ACC this morning on Sirius XM and the hosts were discussing this. The fact that the NCAA BB tourney literally funds the entire NCAA makes this an interesting call.

I assume this green light signals that the feds have interviewed everyone they think they need to, and that the NCAA can't screw up their prosecution by getting involved.

Do you suppose they will turn over what evidence they have already collected at some point (when all trials are over)?

Nah, they'll get Auburn too since we aren't supposed to have a basketball team.

Well if they don't Bruce Pearl will see to that himself. Trouble follows Bruce like the 5 star recruits do. Also, check out this nifty video I got of him while he was at Tennessee giving Erin Andrews a good test drive:
