Our defense is not good. In other shocking news, Bill Gates is rich, the Golden State Warriors are good, and Beyonce could get it any time she wanted it from me.

Not sure what they are trying to do run the ball most of the time. Running up the score and making the other team give up the run ball and air or out to keep up has been the game plan that works. And when that happens run the ball. Now we have to be the ones that abandoned the run game and become one dimensional leaving the other defensive coordinator in a great position.
Something tells me that applewhite is interferring with the play calling or game plan for some reason.

Its over man congrats on the win. One again applewhite has found a way to lose us games. This is why our fans aren't showing up, becuase they know how bad applewhite is and know our team is not worth investing in until we get a real coach.

I really hope we find the guts to fire applewhite and make Briles the head coach like he should have been.

Houston offense is extremely good at 2 things...the deep balls and the qb run

we are just passable on the regular run and short yardage passing

we have mostly just done rb runs with occasional short yardage passing....

we have done 1 deep pass, it was td and 1 qb run and it was for 40yds....i dont get the play calling at all

I think for whatever reason the wind has impacted their confidence in the pass game. Only thing I can think of. That said I'd still prefer some slants and screens over running the ball three consecutive times. That isn't fooling anyone. The 1st down runs have gotten you yards but SMU has been ready for it on 2nd. Can't be that predictable.
