Maryland Coaching Vacancy
With the Maryland vacancy open, I wonder if Satterfield and Brown get some phone calls for interviews.

RE: Maryland Coaching Vacancy
There will be many openings by time the season is ends, and those two guys will get calls from more then a couple of those openings.

Here is a real question, are there any job openings in the SEC this season???

I see GT as a real option for Brown or Satterfield.. I do not think Paul Johnson survives after this season.

Maryland doesn’t deserve football right now. Baylor and Maryland have proved they deserve the death penalty. If it wasn’t for public opionian, DJ Durkin was still gonna be the coach.

Seems like a great landing spot for Blake Anderson. I’ll reserve the Uhaul.

You're probably looking at Lunsford as the next GT coach if PJ gets fired.

Could happen, and GaSo fans will have a meltdown if it does. We saw how the previous hire went for them.

GT is going as far away from the option as possible after they fire PJ.

It could definitely happen but a lot of GT fans I know are looking to move away from the option. I bet there would be some serious push back from donors if they started interviewing option coaches.

But then again, most tech fans don’t care one way or another

Because he runs a few TO plays?

GT fan base is done with the TO. If you fire the current patriarch of the TO coaching tree, you are not hiring a guy that runs a few TO plays that has only 1 season under his belt.

Hey App fans, if Maryland takes your coach, don't panic. There's a terrific intern on the staff at UGA who has great potential. His name is Tyson Summers. He's a great leader and motivator, and he will definitely steer your team in the direction I want it to go
04-cheers

RE: Maryland Coaching Vacancy
I don't think Paul Johnson is going anywhere, honestly, based on the letter GTS posted from the GTAA and if Tech makes a late-season surge with Tobias Oliver as the starting QB that will just lessen the chances of him being fired even more.

And hopefully Fritz not winning at Tulane will cause AD's to realize just because you win at GS doesn't mean you're a coaching wizard.

If Penn State didn't get it, no one is ever getting that penalty again.

I can only see Satt leaving for an instate P5 job like UNC or NC State. If Maryland tries to offer anyone besides Matt Canada the head job, they've made a mistake. I doubt many people would want to lead that program right now anyways.

LOL. Here we go again. If someone waves a 7 figure check under his nose he'd have to give it serious consideration. Don't think he wouldn't.

I don’t think either Satt or Brown will be in play at Maryland. There isn’t a lot of projected P5 openings this offseason. Next offseason could be the year Satt and Brown get their looks.

Satt is ready and prepared for it too; hiring Jimmy Sexton last offseason. Sexton will find Satt a job.

I don't know what Maryland pays but assuming it is $3mm per year for 5 years. You think Satt turns that down to stay at App, where he makes what $800k, $1mm? We all fall into the "not our guy, he loves it here". So I will ask you, would you move to Maryland for $15mm over the next 5 years? Yeah, me too. And I wouldn't blame SS for one second. Your family is priority #1.

If GT fires Johnson I'll bet they move away from the TO offence.
