Utah St averaged 18.6K per game.

Houston and Fresno about 31K.

UCF more than 40K.

Would the committee take that into consideration? In other words, is Utah State fighting a huge uphill battle?

The NY6 bowl will likely be the Fiesta. Both Fiesta and Peach can host, but the Peach hosted the G5 champ last year.

If UCF qualified, I can see the Peach taking them again. But if it's Houston or a MWC school, it will almost assuredly be the Fiesta.

And if it's the Fiesta, does that mitigate in favor of Utah St despite their lack of fan base?

Although it was the BCS days, I remember a few years back when UConn went to the Fiesta Bowl. That's really assuming a lot expecting fans to make that trip.

It might determine which Access Bowl ome of our teams goes to. It won't determine which school gets picked.

I can see the Peach not minding us returning, we brought a great crowd. We would be unlikely to send as many people to the Fiesta.

when we went to the fiesta bowl in 2013 flights were ridiculously expensive. $600+RT for one ticket.

Because Orlando is one of the busiest holiday destinations in the country, any good airfare is gone a month or two before New Year's by tourists grabbing them all up.

When I tried to buy my Orlando-PHX airfare...it was over $1,000...so I ended up using pts (thru Denver there and thru CLEVELAND on the way back) just to be able to get there at a good time and leave at a good time.

UCF had the fastest Peach Bowl Sellout of their ticket allotment in school history and became the only G5 program to sellout their CFP Ticket Allotment. (Of course, UCF Fans ended up buying another 20,000-25,0000 on the 3rd party sites).

Peach Bowl was easily driveable for most Orlando fans (only 7.5 hr drive...maybe 7) so no need to fly.

I think I paid over $800 for a round trip plane ticket. $250 on a rental car (Arizona tax rates are crazy on rental cars), then the hotel was normal priced.

Fiesta isn't a bad option with Vegas close
