This. I haven’t come over here in a while, but this first poll is the most biased thing I’ve seen today. Absolutely P5 heavy...like there’s some kind of contract signed between the P5 and the committee.

Honestly I'm just going to root for an LSU-Bama-Clemson-ND playoff. Maybe if three of the P5 champs get left out it'll start up expansion talks.

I mean the committee chair said they had to drop UCF to 12 because they haven't played anyone with a winning record. I would have thought that explanation would have put UCF at 15th or worse.

Fresno has to beat Boise, SDSU and if they win both they have to beat Utah State. Houston needs to do what Fresno has to do. Focus on winning out and see what happens.

Hypothetical situation - if 11-1 Houston beat an approximately #8 UCF (11-0) team in the conference title game, I think they get in no matter what Fresno State does.

If nothing else, the committee does reward noteworthy wins. Beating an undefeated UCF team would be tough for them to overlook.

If UCF and Houston wins out, the winner of the AAC Championship gets the NY6. Period.

I disagree. UCF sure, but Houston probably needs Fresno to lose @Boise.

If Ucf loses then then all Fresno has to do is win out. No way we get ranked ahead of fresno. The committee would keep an aac school from jumping them just out of spite.

If ucf lose then the aac needs fresno to lose too, or else its game over.

I wouldn't say its spite. Fresno plays in the better MWC division this year while Houston plays in the weaker AAC divsion, but they also play Boise and potentially USU in their CCG. They just have more opportunities for quality wins. The West being down this year hurts us plain and simple.

I'm surprised ucf and Fresno were given such generous rankings. They are really starting to respect the group of 5 more. Ucfs schedule thus far is comparable to a sunbelt school, and Fresno only quality win was over a bad power 5 school that also lost to Cincy. We, as the group of 5, are fortunate.

I think we all know there are dozens of multiple loss power 5 schools that would absolutely work over the best of us in the group of 5. We should break off and play in a level we can compete at

RE: CFP Top 25 Prediction/Discussion Thread
ECU, SMU, and UConn are coping with coach problems. They won't be forever. AAC schools provide great opportunities for rising young coaches. SMU loses an outstanding coach and another one arrives. sure there will be a year or two adjusting, then they will be beating P5 schools again. ECU and UConn will be better within two years. Member schools are taking the right steps to be above G4 including facilities, salaries, and other support. Long term the AAC will succeed.

Fans are letting the opinions of people with major biases affect them.

The AAC has good records against P5 schools. That will have benefits for conference members.

Just keep grinding.

FCS is there for all those that think that way. The rest of us will keep grinding.

Not too long ago, you could have said this about Memphis....or UCF....or Cincy....

I think some of these people suffer from dementia. Very short memories when it concerns their past suckage. They're a very humble lot...

Yeah I get it, we're talking about now, but it's important to remember WTF you came from, because you could suck hard again in the not too distant future.

RE: CFP Top 25 Prediction/Discussion Thread
I think both UCF and Houston have to lose and Fresno has to win out before they can possibly be the favorite to go to the NY6.

Because if ucf loses one they still have a top 15/20s matchup with Houston for the CCG to give them a boost in the final rankings.

And if houston wins out and beats a one loss ucf which at the time would be a top 15/20 team it would also give them a final boost in the ratings.

Fresno doesn't have that final push. So we are still in the gravy train.
