Smith is very capable at QB. Smith and Daughtry-Frye can both scoot. Not a really explosive offense but with a defense like Troy has, it doesn't have to be.

Boy, that defense can run.

Funny how most of the posters here thought it all ran through Statesboro. Well, it does. Next week.

If we win it will run through Boone. APP with Zach Thomas is the best team in the league.

Troy had a starting corner and a starting safety out as well.

Congrats again to Troy. Cajuns were missing our best LB and a starting corner on defense as well as Elijah Mitchell who is the most dynamic RB in the league. Having those three guys make a huge difference in the game. Does it change the outcome? Probably not.

But if we continue to improve, we aren’t a team you wanna play again.

We were without 3-4 starters as well.

Deondre Douglass, our best receiver was out. Starting corner and starting safety were also out. All three were all conference players of some kind.

My belief is that App with Fehr and Thomas is the best team in the league. In most situations, Fehr is likely to have been more valuable to the team considering the offense plays a style focused on running the ball. However, Troy fan's can attest to the sudden change when your QB goes down and how that affects the chemistry of the offense as a whole.

It would appear that continuity is a bigger issue for college teams than for Pro teams.

Unfortunately we are all in the same conference so they don't have a choice. It's amazing what missing a running back, linebacker, and quarterback/cornerback can do to a team.

Everybody in the country has a ton of injuries. And most have major ones.

Indeed. Troy is missing three all conference players, not including our quarterback that started the first six games. Louisiana is without starters at running back, linebacker, and cornerback. APP has been without their OPOTY running back and QB who will likely grab all conference honors at seasons end. GS is down two starting linebackers and possibly more.

GS hasn’t had two starting OL all season. But, who cares? Everybody is injured. Making excuses about injuries is the lamest thing fans do.

Everyone has injuries. Some more critical and numerous than others, though.
