Hopefully, a lot of $$$

Hopefully more money than houston would have made at a home game in ticket sales and booster monies for a higher profile home game than fans are used to seeing.

Because were getting paid to play in the Classic. Much more money than playing in our stadium.

Yep. Doesn't take much to be top tier in the Pac 12 these days.

counting the years when he first took over and building them up makes no sense ...

wazzu isnt bad, and almost guaranteed to be a top 25 team when we play them next year

So why is the game being played on Friday? Is there a double header planned for the same weekend? Is it not on the first weekend of the season? Am I missing something? Just curious....

Texas plays Rice in NRG on Saturday the 14th. This game was originally scheduled to be played at our place. The committee wanted OU, but OU declined. So they scheduled WAZZU instead. OU wants us at their place really can't blame them. LOL!

UH gave up a HUGE advantage by moving the game INDOORS to the Texans Stadium as WSU would have melted and crumbled in heat and humidity of their Alphabet Stadium (TDABCDEDG Stadium).

Hope UH wins but they just gave up a HUGE advantage, let alone losing advantage of the students/fans being much closer to the field at campus stadium vs HUGE NFL Stadium. (Also will hurt UH season Tix sales too...as no need to have a season Tix for this game as it won't sellout now. Taking extra money for one game hurts Tix sales for the other 5-6 home games).

NRG stadium games have been included in season tickets in the past, I don't see why this would be different. The understanding is we are getting a lot of money for this game.

To your other point... yes, we give up a huge weather advantage in order to play a nationally televised game on Fri night. However, A/C might mean better attendance. Man it is hot in Houston in Sept.
