ULM is going to score the same amount on GS as Clemson did? Amazing.
Not saying it’s going to happen and I doubt it does but what Clemson did and what ULM scores later in the season is pointless. UGA scored 31 on App State last year and ULM scored 52 in 2017 season.
My larger point is that our scoring defense is 16th in the nation averaging 18.6ppg.
ULM's offense is 106th in the nation averaging 24.0 ppg. Clemson is ranked 6 averaging 44.1ppg.
Not saying ULM wouldn't score more than 18, but to think they would score 2 TD's greater than their season average seems odd to me. Even if you look at ULM's last 5 games their scoring average only bumps up to 25.4ppg.
Just my opinion about his opinion.
I get what you’re saying and it makes sense but what Clemson does and what happens now doesn’t mean crap. ULM offense has not played good at all this season and most of the O returned. They could finally turn it on and maybe not . My point is the offense is still capable of being good even against a good defense. Again I don’t see us going for a ton of points but the “amazing” and what Clemson did doesn’t matter. If this team did this and that team did that against that team that played this team just doesn’t always add up the same.

Didn’t you just beat TXST by two points like two games ago?

3 games ago, but yes.
@TxSt 15-13
@NMSU 48-31
App 34-14
After the TxSt game it seemed our offense had turned a corner. Defense has been solid throughout. We gave up some late scores against NMSU (up 45-17) and App.

GS is a solid team, no doubt, but NMSU is 127th in scoring defense. Texas State is 66th, and we see the difference. The APP game was a lot like Troy's game with Liberty. First time starting QB can really affect the entire team. It was a good win, but the game would have been different with APP's starting QB. You might still win, but it would be a 3 to 7 point win, or a loss, IMO.

Different.. sure.
Winning.. I doubt it. That QB was not playing defense.
Texas St was our first true road game.. then look at the teams performance to the 2nd road game @ NMSU which was a blowout late in the game. This is a well coached team that looks for ways to improve.

I agree mostly. We disagree about about how much one player can affect an entire team. Morale is contagious. Not to mention, being horrid on offense can affect play calling and depth on defense if you're unable to sustain drives. GS has the stats defensively in more games than just APP so I can't say it was all on the backup QB, but I do believe Zach going down played a big role on how the game turned out.

I'm calling my shot! I'm pointing the bat to Left Field!
If Vitt starts, Bobcats by 6.
If WJIII starts, Panthers by 9.
Based on nothing scientific, purely on homerism.

I thought you picked ULM earlier? I have no idea what to think of our game. If I had to guess I’d say GS by 14 too, but if Evans plays well I can see ULM winning a shootout.

The upset special is Texas State over Georgia State. GSU opened as a 7 point favorite (currently at 6) but I see Texas State winning this game.

I was wrong. Apparently the defense didn’t show up and you guys will score about 60 on us.
