Winning the Lottery has really screwed a lot of people and their families up.

I'd like to think that I would pay off my immediate family members' debts as well as my own. I'd buy a nice under $1M house on the lake with a nice boat and enjoy my days fishing.

Plop half that money into multiple interest savings accounts (foreign and domestic) and then begin distributing $100M to charities.

I'd take another $100M and invest it.

And another $100M would be used to maybe start my own business because I can't see myself just sitting around for the rest of my life.

I'd take a trip somewhere once every 4 months just to see the world.

I'm lucky that on the rare occasions I play the Lottery I can do so from SC, which protects the winner's identity. NC reveals you whether you want to or not.

I've always wanted some old Italian sport cars and a nice piece of land up in the hills.

Pay off my parent's mortgage

Start a fund to pay for all of my nephews and nieces college tuitions.

Give all but about 20 million to St Judes and live happily the rest of my life on about $150,000/yr of the interest. Be a good citizen with what’s left of the per year interest.
The simple fact is people, even smart people, don’t understand how much money 1.6 billion is.

In this order:

1. Quit job.
2. Take a vacation.
3. Pay off all debts.
4. Set a few million to set aside to piss away as I please (spending spree).
5. Hire someone to manage the rest of the money, set up trust funds for the kids, and develop a strategy whereas we live off a fixed income from the interest.
6. Look for investment opportunities where I can serve on boards and still "work", but in a limited capacity and on my own terms.

1st $100M goes to St Jude.

$50M in the bank to draw interest.

With the remaining $750M, I'd buy my own island in the Florida Keys, buy a Gulfstream with pilot on retainer and travel to any sporting event or concert that I wanted to attend, build a walled off compound somewhere in west TN with mansions inside for all of my family & lots of land so we wouldn't be disturbed. Included would be a pool so big its almost like a water park and an indoor/ outdoor gun range. Garage full of cars - 1977 black Trans AM, General Lee replica, jacked up 4wd Jeep, 4 wheelers, you name it.

1) Take care of my Mom & Dad. Build them a new house. Buy them a new car. Make sure they never want for anything again.

2) Take care of my brother. Give him enough to have the option of retiring. Tell him the one condition would be to get rid of that POS truck he drives and buy something new.

3) Buy a NICE vehicle for myself (thinking Range Rover Sport), big and comfortable with plenty of power.

5) Travel a bit. Love to see the British Isles. Take the Alaska cruise.

I'd pay off whatever bills we have.

Buy my wife, kids, mother and brother new vehicles.

Pay for my youngest's college education since Uncle Sam is paying for my oldest thru the GI Bill.

Find me a couple thousand acres of good land in the country and become the gentleman farmer I've long desired to be.

Once I buy that land I'm buying the local volunteer fire dept a new fire engine and a new set of turnout gear and SCBA, and the local Sheriff's Dept new vests, including K9 vests if they have K9 officers.

Find out the church in my new community with the biggest capital need and take care of it for them regardless of what the denomination is.

Make a sizable donation to the Southeastern Firefighters Burn Foundation.

Make a sizable donation to my home church scholarship fund. I already donate as much as I can each year since I benefited from it but I always would love to give more.

I'd become a Riggs level donor of IPTAY

I would then take the hunting trips I have always wanted to take. Hunting deer in the Milk river basin of Montana. Colorado elk. Texas deer and wild hogs. I'd go back to Arkansas duck hunting.

I'm with SOMs - St. Jude would by far be the largest recipient, followed by another 3-5 charities after some very thorough research. My church and my parents church would be set up nicely, and I'd spend a few million helping some of the people around me deal with storm damage. (I live in a very poor area). After that, I'd set ECU up with enough funds to hire a coach and AD that will get the job done. Finally I would pick up about 500 acres next to my farm to clear, buy some new equipment and cattle and enjoy life. My wife would probably want to adopt a few kids when she's a little older and I'm completely on board with that.

In no particular order:

1. Buy my alma mater's way into the Power
2. Give some money to my parents, grandmother and sister.
3. Set up a trust for my three kids.
and then..

1) Call a lawyer
2) Call an accountant
3) Call a travel agent.

The lawyer and accountant can come see me in some lush tropical island paradise.

I would donate to UTSA, so they can finally get a basketball arena, then I would buy a property off of Lake Michigan, then I would buy the truck of my dreams, and buy my wife the SUV of her dreams and save the rest.

Tell all of those people with which I currently have to play nice to kiss my hairy white arse.

That will take a while.

1) Give my 2 weeks notice. (I'm a nice guy and don't want to leave my team in a bad spot.)

2) Buy THIS particular house in Asheville, NC. Cash. (I have wanted this house for a while... the long-range views are breathtaking.)





3) Delete all social media.

1. Buy a bigger boat.
2. Make all of my immediate family millionaires.
3. Buy a house in the Rockies and one on the beach.

On the way home from the accountant, I would stop and purchase the following:

*An Automotoplex condo
*Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio in red
*BMW Alpina B7 in white
*Ford F-150 Raptor in blue
*Volvo V90 wagon in black
*Chevy Sonic RS hatchback in orange
*30' ChrisCraft Corsair in navy blue and red.

Next, I'd start my own business traveling the upper midwest buying old barns and starting a barnwood builder cabin construction company. My wife would get her party planning company and the boys would get to spend their summers at Camp Falling Creek in Tuxedo NC.
