Don't worry, you're next. It will be interesting to see how many App people make the trip. I assume that if App manages to beat Goliath in Statesboro there will be a good contingent in Myrtle Beach.

I'm jealous of App and GS. I'd love for CCU to have a rivalry our fans could be passionate about. The closest thing we had (past tense) is Liberty. It will take a while to find a new one.

I’ve actually felt like this years version of hate week has been kinda mild compared to many past in regards to message boards.

Well you can only talk so much trash to ECU fans when you haven't played them in years.

Yeah, after a few years of the "we joined the Sunbelt together" lovefest with App and GS we're having a hard time getting fully reacclimated to our former SoCon hatred. Give it another year - having two teams with one loss hitting each other in the mouth on a Thursday should be a good start back to the Dark Side.

BECAUSE IT'S ALL SOUTHERN FANS POSTING.
Also because people seem to believe that ECU some how disqualifies me from speaking on behalf of APP.

I don't know... they know they aren't up to our level. They would have to think they are better than us for it to be a rivalry.
They beat us at our place last year, my friend.
So pump the brakes on that crap until we beat them this weekend. Then we can start talking crap.
You are quite literally the most hot and cold fan of any team that i've seen. What are your expectations for attendance from Coastal fans for the App game?
Nah. I'm just a very realistic fan that talks a little crap sometimes just for funsies. I'll usually tell you straight up if I think my team is going to win or lose a game. But if someone starts talking crap, I'll sling it right back. That's not hot and cold. That's being a realistic fan.
As for attendance, that depends on a few factors, honestly, so it's very hard to know for sure. One of those factors is whether or not App wins this weekend and comes to Conway ranked or not. That will make a difference in the level of interest from our casual fans in the community.
Also depends partially on if we win this weekend and come into the game at 5-3 or if we lose and come in at 4-4.
Also depends on weather. Our geriatrics don't come out if it is under 50 degrees.
I think attendance from CCU fans for that game could be as low as 10k, or as much as 14k. Then add whatever App fans show up and I could see total attendance being anywhere from 11k-15.5k.
We shall see.

What is stadium capacity at, and record? Assuming both teams win this week, I'd expect it's possible to see a record crowd. Maybe we will get lucky and catch one of the last warm fronts from the Southwest just in time for November 3rd.

Our expansion is not complete, so currently the official capacity is 15k. But our record was a little over 15k. You know how capacities work. It's not truly the max you can pack in.
After the upper deck on the visitors' side is done this offseason, we will be sitting at about 21k capacity next season.

Perhaps the App - Coastal game, when played in Myrtle Beach, should be scheduled earlier in the season to take advantage of the warmer weather and proximity of the schools to maximize attendance? This should be a game that sells at Coastal each and every year unless both teams are winless or out of contention for anything by the time it's played.
