Palm projects UCF as Liberty’s opponent; Bender has Liberty vs. SMU. Much as I would love to see Liberty in a bowl game, I gotta admit those sound like very bad matchups for the Flames, IMHO. We shall see.

I don't care who we play even if I want a win as much as anyone. TCU would be a better draw as (unfortunately) I feel more of their team would sit out to stay healthy for the NFL draft.

Would we get blown out but it would look really good to have a game against TCU, UCF or SMU. Definitely a lot better than Eastern Michigan.

If we are 7-5 the Cure Bowl has to take us if they can’t fill the spot.

7-5 with two FCS wins is the same as 6-6 with one FCS win as far as the selection goes.

7-5 would be a much better sell. Also Jerry Jr. and Huige need to put asses in those seats. If Liberty can sell out a bowl game they are much more likely to be on top of the list for next year.

Of course beating either Virginia or BYU would make it MUCH easier for a bowl bid.

Despite our losing to Rutgers, I think we could still possibly knock off BYU or UVA. BYU despite having beaten UT, USC, and Boise State did lose to Toledo. And last year, we matched up with and hung with UVA until the ridiculous 4th down call late in the 3Q. Obviously, just like Rutgers, we'll have to see exactly how we match up with them and the D will have to return to pre-Bye Week form in order for us to have a chance at an upset of either team.

I think we beat UMASS and NMSU and go to a lower tiered Bowl, such as the Cure Bowl. Although, I'd love and prefer the Belk Bowl, it's hard for me to see us going to that one or the Liberty Bowl, as another projection had pegged us for. But who knows if we upset the Cougars or the Wahoos.

The next bye week is critical to helping with the injuries. LU needs a healthy team for the NMSU game.

Really depends on location. If we were to make the Belk Bowl- absolutely. Another projection has us in the Belk vs. Wake. I like it.

Boca Raton Bowl would be a nice catch. 30,000 seat stadium which makes it easier for Liberty to fill it if they can with direct flights from richmond to fll on jetblue.

We get the money no matter who plays in Boca bowl. Im just pointing out that its an easy access bowl game, in a nice location without an oversized stadium. playing in a packed 30,000 seat boca bowl would look nicer than a half full camping world stadium.

I meant the "too" in a positive light. Probably should have out an ! at the end.
I've been to a game at Waldo stadium (30k) near full. The atmosphere is amazing at those those size stadiums.

As of 11-5-2019 from ASOR...
"There are 39 bowl games this year, equating to 78 bowl slots. There are currently 42 teams that have already become bowl eligible. ESPN’s FPI currently projects 71 teams to win at least 6 games and reach bowl eligibility, including Liberty."

Just need one more win. I wouldn't be surprised if we beat either BYU or Virginia as they aren't that great but I am not expecting it. Ending the season at 7-5 before a bowl game is solid for our second year of FBS.

RE: Bowl Game
It should be noted that if we finish 6-6, we would essentially be the top of the list of non-bowl eligible schools if there aren't enough eligible teams. A 6-6 team with two FCS wins gets picked before 5-7 teams.

This was a helpful article for several games to watch.
