The financial toll that the area will take will be enough to limit a lot of fans choosing to attend. Like I said, a lot of these people don’t have any flood insurance, and huge swaths of Conway will be displaced for months. I can’t blame anyone for having more important things to do on their Saturdays this year. It’s going to be a long recovery.

My house flooded in Houston. Luckily I have flood insurance but the emotional toll was horrible. I don’t wish that on anyone. My life basically stopped while everyone else went along with their life. It’s tough and I hope everyone there recovers.

Although I think App deserves the #1 spot, I think any of 2-7 can beat us.

Any of the 2-7? If could is the word you are using, any of the 2-10 could beat us. Rather unlikely but I’d say Ark State or Troy have the best probability

I don't know man. APP has looked invincible lately. You guys are the only complete team in the league right now. If Troy's first half vs ULM becomes the norm, we'll have a chance, but we have a lot of growing to do.

Worried the lack of the So MS game could hurt App. Hope not but we’ll see this weekend for starters.

Thanks for that. All reality, one team beat a B10 team and one didn’t. I am very proud of our performance, and it’s too early in the season to care about rankings imo, Nebraska recruits GREAT players. Neal Brown is the real deal so it’s not even shocking anymore that you guys take down big teams. Any team really could take us down but I still believe Troy or Ark State have the best chances. Regardless, this conference is showing out lately so I hope everyone kills it

I don't understand people acting like two teams are similar because they're in the same conference. It's like someone racing and beating a Chevy Cavalier and saying it is more impressive than someone tying a Corvette because they're both Chevy's.

Honestly, Nebraska would be 3rd or 4th in the Sun Belt this year. Still loving the publicity though.

I don’t think it in that way. Everyone says not to care too much about player rankings/stars... yeah... okay... I think it’s generally a good indication of how those players should perform. Not that it’s a guarantee obviously but it’s predicted they should be that good. So I’m not so sure about your analogy because it’s a corvette racing a corvette, but one has a better driver (coach) than the other

I think the question was whether or not a program that's about a decade old could even enter a rebuild.

Agreed, I think it is just a build in this case.

It has a lot of meaning for Troy's football program. But it doesn't mean we will win a conference title because we beat Nebraska. If you had beaten Penn State, that win would have carried a lot more weight than Troy's win over Nebraska.

As far as analogies go, you can't think of stars as brute strength. They have a lot more stars than Troy, but those stars were built for power, and Troy's bread and butter is speed. That was the difference. We are a really fast team this year, both in athlete quickness and offensive tempo. Hard to beat that.

Nebraska's recruiting classes have all been between 30 and 50 in the past three seasons. It's a stretch to say they have "great" players. I suppose we will see what happens with Nebraska and Penn State the rest of the way, but in watching Nebraska, you can tell there are serious issues.

Wrong. #23 on 247's Team Talent Composite. They were also #23 in 2018 alone, and several freshman played vs Troy.

LSU was #6 on 247's Team Talent Composite.

Troy is listed at #107. Coaching matters.

Never said Neal Brown was a bad coach. I've gone on record as saying he is a great coach, actually. The point is that Nebraska is in a down period due to the coaching changeover. Troy playing the highly regarded Nebraska freshman doesn't change the fact that they were freshman.

It will be a rebuild after CSE is gone. Will have to start from scratch.
