Bold statement, especially when trying to compare it to (for example) 2012 when you had Sean Price, Tony Washington, and Andrew Peacock. Those are all NFL talents.

Or at least Price would have been if he hadn’t been a dumb***. Probably could have been better than Quick was.

Eh, that lasted like five plays. Then the murders began.

I’ll stand by my statement, good luck stopping this offense, however, not sure about the defense, especially the lb corp.

This is only my 9th season of App fanship but I can say, with absolutely no hesitation or doubt, that this is the best set of offensive weapons ANY App QB has ever had at their disposal.

Surely there are individual talents that might have been better, but this unit is STACKED. I'd love to hear from an OG.

I try to avoid the "this group is the best group a team has ever had" because most people don't look farther back than 15 years but these guys are damn good.

I've been watching App football sincec1975 & a season ticket holder sincec1979. Without question this is the deepest, most talented group of RB's & WR's I've ever seen.

RE: Appalachian vs. Gardner Webb 3:30 p.m.
App has traditionally been primarily a running team up until 2007, if I'm not mistaken. I think Hennigan and Malik Williams have been better than expected and I'm usually skeptical about transfers, but we really lucked out getting Heath and Sullivan. I think having this talent on the field at the same time opens up opportunities because you can't really double team anyone unless you have an All-American DB that can cover 1 on 1.

Dude. Just stop with this narrative. Those of us who have been watching App State football for years all agree this is the best group. When AppManDG says it, you can pretty much book it. Thankfully for you, your defensive coordinator knows it too.

To put this in perspective, we had an all-conference receiver that made ESPN top 10 plays multiple times transfer due, at least in part, to reduced playing time.

RE: Appalachian vs. Gardner Webb 3:30 p.m.
Don't really think EigenEagle was intending to dis the current group...just giving recognition to the fact that we've actually produced some pretty good groups of WRs. That's pretty amazing too, especially considering we've always been a run-first team. There is no doubt in my mind that this group of WRs and RBs are, collectively, the best we've every had. That's a good thing because without those WRs, I'm not sure our rebuilding OL could support the running game against the stacked D's we would be finding.

App now up to 25 points in the Coaches Poll. No points in the AP Poll.

Virginia Tech nearly ranked still in the AP Poll....

This is why computers were invented.

For the first time in a while, I'm actually more impressed by the receivers than I am by the running backs. Heath and Xavier-Sutton have provided a boost to the offense for sure.

Sutton reminds me of Price in a lot of ways. Thankfully he isn't an idiot off the field though.
