It is Wednesday, September 19. The third full week of the 2018 college football season has ended, and the fourth will begin soon. On this board, what week number do you think should be assigned to our SBC power rankings?

It's currently week 4.

However none of us have played yet this week so the power rankings are from games played in week 3.

Therefore they are week 3 power rankings.

Week 4 power rankings will come to light once all the teams have finished playing their week 4 games.

In my book:

Anything before 1 game is played: preseason power rankings
After 1st weekend of games: week 1 power rankings
After 2nd weekend of games: week 2 power rankings
...
After all regular season and bowl games are played: final power rankings

ESPN says "Week 3 Power Ranking"

This is my vote too.

It's sort of like the debate over whether or not to say "2017 National Championship Game" or "2018 National Championship Game" for the last CFB game played back in January. I prefer the former, but could see why some like the latter better.

It is week three for the Belt and week four for college football. Most people I heard called the first week of a few games zero week.

I'm just ahead of the times is all.
