This is really cool. You guys are a class act.

Except for your baseball. Your baseball program is full of poo poo heads!

...but the rest of you guys are cool.

04-cheers

Many thanks to the Cajuns from CCU and the surrounding community.

We got word earlier today that on-campus classes are cancelled through Friday, Sept. 28. The campus is fine, but the main artery to the area on US-501 has lanes shut down. It's wrecking havoc with anyone commuting across the Waccamaw river. Even if you don't need to cross the bridge, traffic is backing up past CCU going north you're still stuck in traffic. People just 5 miles away are having commute times of over 2 hours. I've been lucky, my drive time is unchanged.

There is a lot of talk about all of the bridges to Myrtle Beach possibly being blocked by floods. I don't believe it, but it's hard not to be worried. There have been runs on food and gas.

I have said this many times...What happens to one of us, happens to all of us.

All supplies donated will be put into CCU's equipment truck for transportation back to South Carolina.

We've been through what you're going through. People helped us when we needed it. We're now in a position to pay it forward.

What kind of damage did Coastal's campus suffer? My dad's home near Broadway was left without damage of any kind.

Almost none. I haven't noticed anything other than pine straw in unusual places. There are some areas with standing water that are usually dry, but no flooding or anything (that I have heard about).

It seems to be all or nothing. If you house is flooded, you've got catastrophic damage. If not, you're just helping your neighbors and waiting for the roads to get back to normal.

Hoping for the best for everyone in that area. After going through the flooding here 2 years ago, I would not wish that on my worst enemy. Good luck to yall.
