I love Briggs’ articles. He is an awesome writer. I admire his wordsmithing and his insightful “takes”. He is one of if not the best reason to subscribe to The Blade.

Not Sure if I said this before, Koback has a nack of seeing the holes very well. Besides the fact that when he engages his stride he is lightning quick.
Didn't stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, just using what I observed at the spring game.
A true gem if he is used wisely.
Ehhh coaches, listening, he isn't an every down back.

Agree that he is not an every down back. Give him 8-10 touches a game and he could be very productive. Fortunately, we have at least 2 other backs who can get 25 plus touches a game.
Can you imagine opposing defensive coordinators trying to figure out whether it is best to stop our running game or our passing game? They will have to play us honest or risk getting burned bad.

I like that a hometown kid is getting good press for the Rockets, but I'm not sure why all the hype since he's likely to be the 4th RB behind Seymour, Thompkins and Sims. What am I missing?

I hope he is the next home town star. I'd love to see him play if the Ticket Office would kindly send me my Season Tickets.

I don't know how accurate the weights are on the roster, but they have Koback at 6-0 193. Seymour, listed at 5-11 218, has 25 lbs on him, so you might be right about that. The guy sure is quick to slither through the seams, though.

I think we have a kid named Thompson that no one heard of that has done quite well. Paige was not expected to do as well as he did either. I’m thinking we have something special here and he is going to prove in actions not words. Tell me again how many yards he gained in how many games his senior year in high school before he was injured. And how he did his Jr year. This kid is the real deal. I’ve never seen him play.I’m basing this on past performances and Video. I think the only unknown is how he recovers from his injury.
