In all fairness, the OP says this bone head is running as an Independent against a GOP and DEM candidates. That said, he's not going to be elected and he may already assume this.

Correct, but I saw him also reported as a democrat. This district is heavily republican (Trump won it by 20) so it wouldnt be uncommon to find a halpless democrat try to win the seat by calling himself an independent conservative.
