Thank you for letting me get that off of my chest.

You have obviously never had the pleasure of making the following:

Get a vine ripe beefsteak mater, cut it into thick slices.

Get some white bread

Put Dukes Mayo on the slices of white bread.

Put the mater slices on the slices of white bread.

Salt and pepper the mater slices to taste

Put the two slices of white bread together.

Enjoy the wonderfulness that is a mater sammich

That made me hungry. I'll be trying it for lunch. But, I only have Roma tomatoes. LOL

Kaplony, Dunk and dgunn, I am 58 years old. I have had virtually every species of tomato -- dressed up in virtually every conceivable style -- placed in front of me with a promise that it would change my negative opinion on tomatoes -- if not being a life-altering experience. I can assure you, it is not ever going to happen.

God intended for the tomato to be processed. I am willing to turn a blind eye when my wife sneaks a raw one onto her plate. But that is as close as I will get to tolerating that fraud of a vegetable.

talking about lunch, the wife and I went to Perry's Steakhouse here in Houston and ended up getting their porkchop special, 42 ounces of deliciousness served with some mashed taters and a side of applesauce for only $14.99.

How dare you besmerch the mater that way.

Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elder berries.
I fart in your general direction.

Anyone who phrases it that way, you just KNOW they eat 'maters sliced thick spread with mayo and sprinkled with salt and pepper with a fork on a paper plate.

..... man.... I'm gettin' hungry....

That sounds like something that was written by a 19 year old private in a port-o-sh***** in Iraq or Afghanistan.

Maybe this makes me a somewhat deficient Southerner, but I’ve never been a fan of a tomato and mayo sandwich.
