RE: Weekend Open Thread
It was Berlin, 1989. The time of Atomic Blonde. I entered a Turkish restaurant in Kreuzberg, alone, and ordered the lamb kebab.

It was magnificent. Tender, juicy, flavorful.

"You like the lamb?" the waitress asked. I told her it was magnificent. How was it done?

Turn it constantly, baste with a simple mix of olive oil, sea salt, black pepper. Serve hot over rice.

"I could show you," she smiled. She was a German Turk, black-haired, black-eyed. Tall, slender, full-breasted. She smelled of grilled meat and adventure.

And so I went home with a waitress, the way I always . . . well, on a few occasions did.

It was magnificent.

I still enjoy grilled lamb.

Be at Miko's this weekend.

Bought an Okie Joes dual ( my kin folks are lazy, but little kids, soooo)

Rather impressed. 400 bucks, or thereabouts, from right to left, when looking at it---

Propane burner, propane grill, then totally separate compartment is the smoking chamber, left end is the firebox. Sturdy build, heavey-ish, gauge.

I hope it's good, the Outer Banks can be brutal to stuff, starting in about 3 weeks. But last crap char-broil we used lasted ten years, sooo.

Best of luck, friends. I know a fair amount about this stuff, be happy to help if asked. 07-coffee3

Had fried cube steak, mashed taters & gravy, peas, & fried okra for supper.

What time do you open up tomorrow?!?

Tiger decade long absence and boomers dying.....

toss in the computer generated golfer, and it becomes IROC......

disclaimer: I've played for 40 yrs now.....picked up a club yesterday for the first time in over a year....dunked chip #4 and walked away......

Tiger has coattails imo. There should be a discount for generation play. Make it cheaper for grandpa to bring along grandson. Also, to heck with various tees. Create separate courses. Even if they are less than 9.

Agree, and some do just that

Independence here has a par three for kids under 12 (I think) and they play free with Dad (parent, yea whatever...) It's about 18 bucks for the two.
Beautiful, thriving course, like calendar picture worthy.

Some folks get it, others seemingly don't
