My main issue is why is standing for the national anthem a problem for the NFL and not the NBA, NHL, MLB and MLS? Why is it not an issue in college sports? Last time I checked no other league has had any issues or problems. It started in the NFL because one player took it upon himself to use it for his PERSONAL gain and notoriety and opinion. Kaper-punk hijacked the anthem and made into an issue and not DJT or the vast majority of American citizens!

To me, standing up for the Anthem and honoring our Flag and Country trumps (pun intended) many of the shenanigans these guys imbibe in off the field (much, but not all).

For me, I don't really care if Jameis Winston was boorish to an Uber driver as long as he stands for the playing of the National Anthem. (And I still think the woman in this case is trying to use him as an ATM)

FWIW, a good way to gauge the health of the economy:

1.) How heavy the traffic is during rush hour
2.) How many trucks and semi's there are on the road

During the past 12-18 months, the amount of 18 wheelers, trucks, and semi's has SERIOUSLY increased. I mean, by a LOT.

That tells me that stuff is being bought and that there is a higher demand for wares and provisions to be restocked.

Kaepernick was only noticed in the 3rd preseason game, he did it for the first two also and no one noticed. The TV cameras didn't pick up the protest in game three, some reporter tweeted out a photo of him sitting and that's how this started. So unsure he started it for "his PERSONAL gain and notoriety and opinion".

However, he did run for it when the issue took off like a bandit.
