After the Civil War there was pressure on Abe to investigate the Catholic Churches part in the war. As was the case during WWII where the Nazis were chummy chummy with the Vatican there were reports that the Pope wanted to become the official church of Germany and of course those that it conquered. The Vatican wanted the same thing in the Civ.War but neither materialized. Abe didn't press the issue as he thought that it wouldn't solve the moods between the states. He wanted to soothe relations that's why when Lee surrendered and asked Grant what were the conditions Grant told them to go home and that no one would be held on charges.

Dont we already know the informants were in place well before that July 31 date? Pretty sure that info is already out there. As Ive said before---Trump has unfetered access to every document in the country's data base. He already knows where all this leads....which is why he tweeted long ago that Obama spied on him (and the media, with access to zero doucumnets---says its clearly not true).

Trump and his lawyers are playing this very smart. They have already told Mueller that they want him to produce evidence Trump has committed a crime before they agree for the president to be interviewed. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2018/07/...rview.html Mueller can't produce evidence. There isn't any (if their was, the dems would have produced it by now). The dems are waiting for Mueller to give them a win, (which he can't), or drag the investigation out and keep the media questioning Trumps ethics (which he has been doing).

What the dems fail to realize, is that most voters don't care about Trump's ethical issues. If they did, he never would have won the Republican nomination. dems have been unethical for decades, and because of that, most no longer expect politicians to be good people. The bill for Mueller's investigation keeps growing, and at some point Trump will make it an issue (probably near the November election). If Mueller does try to bring partisan allegations against the President, Trump will simply declassify the documents that not only prove without a doubt that the investigation into Trump's campaign was a phony, politically motivated scheme to help Hillary, but the document will name everyone involved (Obama administration, Hilllary campaign, Clinton Foundation, DNC, PAC's, dem senators, and dem reps).

Mueller has no way to win this thing. When this investigation is finally finished, without any charges on Trump, dems will make Mueller the scapegoat.
