Great, we need this type of revenue to keep the program operating on a high level.

Div 1A athletics need to become self-supporting. At least MSU and UM are playing games against the MAC programs now, that almost never occurred 45 years ago when I first started following WMU athletics. That is to the credit of the Big 10 programs, to share the revenue. For the smaller schools, every little bit helps.

That $1.2m isn't going right back into Football.

Most of it will go to fund other sports that lose money - "non-revenue" programs.

That money should go to the Football program to help make up a huge loss in season ticket sales.....I do know it isn't pretty....The 3 mid week games are KILLING us.
