undoubtedly coach K is watching him on the AAU summer circuit and loves the kid. He will be scoring challenged in college until he develops a shot and that is an admitted weakness per his own interview quotes. I’ve got to believe UT can reel this kid in when compared to other current offers unless Butler or equivalent jumps in. His arms are like Anthony Davis... unbelievable length. I just don’t want another Delino Dear in the court.

Go Rockets!!!!!

This kid will soon be Kentucky’s all-time leading shot-blocker.

He is the type Villanova won an NCAA championship with. If he would come here and average 10 ppg 10 rpg and 4 Blocks and play tough interior defense could be a real inside boost with 7'2" wing span

I saw it on India's tube on Saturday night. That dunk is pretty high over the rim.
AJ Edu's skill set looks good.

Yep. There’s a lot to build on here. Looks comfortable going left or right.

Nice offer! It will be interesting to see how this unfolds since Toledo does not have anymore scholarships to offer for the 2019 Class with only Sanford and Navigato graduating next year and 2 players already verbally committed. That would change if Chris Darrington gets his hardship appeal approved by the NCAA and is allowed to finish up his eligibility this upcoming season instead of next season.

RE: Summer Men's BBall Update
oh the unripened fruit
the bigger fish way down below
the pretty girl in the shadows

here we have cool new video of an actual rockets player but twice as many posts about some kentucky HS kid who is just one of 60 offers we have out for a future freshman class that may not even have a scholarship open.

Edu looks like he's gotten stronger from his pre-rocket video clips. like the mid range practice work. important to stress that as it can get overlooked in the drive or 3 style of modern play. and, yeah, the dunk (with the manager providing contact) comes from about 11 1/2 feet down which will be a lot of fun to see in real competition.

He’s definitely needs upper body work and I’m wondering if that is being addressed to help improve overall team rebounding, etc. Nate has good height but is a zero threat down low since he cannot dominate his space physically so he has always been forced outside. This was his game in HS even though he was a legit 6:07 at that time.

I’m really hoping For the following “gifts” this coming season:

1. Willie Jackson finds a shooting touch
2. Sanford scores more consistently in upper teens
3. The Freshmen contribute and stick around
4. We develop a solid mid range scoring game despite Coach K’s call for more high % 3’s
5. UT learns to protect and build on leads... We saw some measured improvement in 18... let’s keep it going
6. Fewer turnovers
7. Improved ability to dish & secure inbounds passes under pressure. This was a sore spot on many occasions last season
8. Improved matchups with athletic 4’s and 3’s on D
9. Start consistently recruiting “our” desired type and skill level of players to slow attrition rate. We don’t have to be like everyone else!

Coach K is starting to get “his” players now and this bodes very well for UT. UT has very substantial talent for 1st time in 4 years and the program is turning into a desired destination for recruits. UT needs to capitalize on this to setup a long term top flight consistent program.

Here’s to hoping for a great 2018-2019 season !!! This is the best roster we’ve had in years and I hope it translates into wins

Go Rockets!!!!
Rebounding rebounding rebounding! That was the diff between last year and recent previous years.... Who and how many can help us rebound....? That will make or break the season and decide if we are above or below .500 and even possibly contenders in 18-19. MHO
