Duke abandons liberal education
https://www.realclearpolitics.com/articl...37167.html

One of Duke's most popular professors apparently forced out because he made a few students uncomfortable.

Sounds like they wanted to subject him to much of what China is doing in Xingjiang, re-education and monitoring.

"...Last week after Dean Kelley told him the provost rejected his appeal, according to Charney, she offered a yearly renewable adjunct teaching position when his contract expires next year. But she attached onerous conditions: Undergo diversity training, cease teaching required courses, accept heightened monitoring of his classes by colleagues, and forgo an appeal to the Faculty Hearing Committee...."

what I don't understand is the value of the class itself.....

from what I gather, it's the same thing as 'auditing' this board.....

Why doesn't DOJ initiate a civil rights lawsuit against Duke?

I'm confused...so private schools can't choose their teachers based upon their criteria? Someone needs to let Liberty University, hundreds of other private schools, and slews of private/charter secondary schools know.

LOL. Duke is private. It also has an acceptance rate hovering in the single digits. Good luck going after them.

Read the article. Duke didn't follow their own procedures.

That is a kicker. If a private employer has rules about dismissal they must be followed or else person can sue for discrimination
