Oh, and Danny White - the best AD in college sports right now.

The funniest part - to me at least - is how Alabama is completely oblivious to the fact that they are not even remotely close to being in Danny White's league in debating this issue.

Alabama is continuing to be triggered by the same very system that they themselves helped set up.

(Oh, and every time a Tide or SEC fan complains, another child in Alabama gets rickets....)

Dumb analogy, Mr Byrne, because your basketball team isn't undefeated and if they were to finish the season undefeated, they couldn't not be national champs.

he should just tweet out a date and time to settle it on the field. maybe an open OOC date and have Alabama fill it in. it would be awesome because no way would Alabama reschedule or give up one of their cupcakes for a match with UCF.

I notice he didn't say much when our men beat his boys BB team this year.

Well loser I live in NC and when i wear a UCF T-Shirt I get approached by a lot of people who saw UCF/USF and UCF/Memphis and UCF/Auburn games and want to talk American Football and want to see G5 teams in the playoff. So when Memphis ever beats UCF you can call use motards, but in the meantime **** off.

My boss who is a diehard Buckeye thinks it’s absolutely ridiculous that UCF would even say such a thing.

Yeah it seems to be the anti-SEC fans but hey we'll take it. I mean this conference is already better than some P5 conferences, compare the American to the Pac-12 in Football and Basketball. This conference needs a little more swagger like the Wichita State fans have in Basketball. (well before they finished 3rd in the American and got knocked out of the NCAAs in the 1st round) Aresco usually comes across as a defeatist that's why I love me some Danny White.

It's 95% Alabama fans who are all bent out of shape about this...4% $EC fans in general and 1% everyone else.

I love it every time they or some ESPN snob grumble and complain about it. UCF has received plenty of support form a variety of people around the country.

Eight team playoff:

Automatic bid for:
PAC12
BIG12
BIG10
SEC
ACC

Winner of the American gets a spot if they have at least 10 wins (and the conference title game can count as one of those ten) AND/OR are in the top 25.

Second at large goes to the second best G5 team as long as said team also wins at least 10 games AND must also be in the top 25.

Third at large can go to anyone.

As many as three G5 teams -or- none at all can make the playoff in my scenario.

First round games would be held at the site of the higher seed. Semifinals would be just like now (Rose Bowl, etc...).

This proposal would amount to the most fair and feasible system. Which means it will never happen.

What part of the P5 is fair? They want to exclude teams/conferences as much as possible. They're not going to give up money to another conference because its fair.
