RE: WAC Teams in Postseason
Not the best night for WAC teams.
UVU is sole team left in the CBI.

Brother, it’s too soon. Let the wounds heal... sigh. But yeah, go UVU and NMSU.

Oh well, NMSU with their usual 1st round loss. 2019 Tournament will be no different.

Better than buying another loss like SU did.

And losing at home in a 999 gym that's half full. Give me another conference championship and NCAA appearance any day of the week even with a loss than paying to be in the CBI...and losing I might add.

Too bad for NMSU. I thought that they could make a run this year.

RE: WAC Teams in Postseason
NMSU had a good enough defense in order to stop most WAC teams on most nights. But they needed more offense to beat an ACC team. Lofton and J. Jones were special but we needed one or two more players to consistently make shots. It was supposed to be Ndir but he faded as the year progressed. Harris had his moments but it is a lot to ask of a 5'9 sophomore against bigger stronger ACC guards. He will get better but right now his game is still a work in progress. With his lack of size, he needs a deeper more consistent three point shot.
Last up now is UVU on Monday against San Francisco. They have a good opportunity to keep their season alive.
The rest of us? Now it is time to plan for next season. Some WAC players have already transferred out making room for new faces. I am sure we will see more players transfer in the offseason as the semester ends. It is now time to hit the recruiting trails.

Clemson is wrecking Auburn by 30 points currently. NMSU had no chance to get out of the first round the way Clemson is playing now.

After what Clemson did to Auburn, Friday night could've been a lot worse.

As good as the Clemson guards have been playing, I still think Lofton was the best guard on the floor Friday night. We just needed more from our other guy.

Clemson pretty good. Too bad they couldn't play Arizona. That team just quit.

I watched Arizona play a few times this season. Miller could never get this team to play consistent defense; they were lazy and a bunch of prima donnas. They all have visions of being NBA stars; more concerned with making the spectacular plays than executing the fundamental ones.
