That is an approximate time, of course.

Weird night tonight. Cleveland St at 12-23 just made the Horizon League championship game. The Kent St women are going to OT at Toledo. Their best game since they beat Toledo in January or so.

Akron City College was also down 27-4 at WMU, before going on a 17-0 run. They only trail by 3 early in the second half.

Miami and CMU won and Akron is up 9. That’s quite a comeback.

What a clutch play by Zabo. He's now 3 big wins away from ending every season of his D1 career (including his freshman season) in the dance.

RE: Northern Illinois @ Kent State (MAC Opening Round)
I want to quickly give a shout out to Frederick for his performance tonight. He played the most minutes of anyone off the bench and I thought he added a good amount of hustle and energy and things that don't show up in the box score.
I really like Senderoff and I think there's a lot of external factors he's had to deal with that have contributed to the decline in total wins over the last few years. One area where I do think Senderoff could improve though is I think he's too quick to shorten his rotation. In recent years we've seen JUCO guys struggle in the first half of their first season, drop from the rotation, and transfer. I'm glad to see Frederick is getting minutes even though they're sporadic but I wish he was given a bigger chunk of time throughout MAC play particularly since De La Rosa and Pippen are often in foul trouble. I thought it was a mistake to go to a 4 guard lineup with Duling as the only big after guys fouled out against Akron. I would've much rather seen a more traditional lineup with Frederick in there with Duling.
Finally, just watching Frederick, I think he understands team defense and knows where to be and it looks like he talks a lot on defense. So bottom line, I think he's a good defender and we're not a great defensive team. The analytics support this. I have all our playlogs in a database I've been messing with. I haven't imported tonight's log yet, but coming into tonight, during MAC play we give up 94.42 points per 100 defensive possessions. When Frederick is on the court we give up 86.36 points per 100 defensive possessions, which is the lowest of any individual player on our team. I'm not saying he's an All-MAC defensive team player or anything (plus the offensive numbers with him in aren't great) but I'm glad to see he's getting minutes because I do think he brings something to the team. I just wish he had a chance to get a little more polished offensively in January and February.

No. I am going to give it to mmucha. His positive outlook is all you can have during a March run. This team is gritty!
