Last couple of years, EMU had a losing overall record against division 1 programs. Which made them ineligible for post season. Despite having an RPI of 115 in 2015-16 (ie, good for a mid major). I think at the time we on this forum were debating if it was a decusion by the AD to not participate. So was not an option at least for the college insider tournament. And the CBI allows losing records I believe, but can’t imagine they would extend an invite to a mid major with a losing record.

EMU has a winning record this year and an RPI of 107. So they will likely be one of the better teams in the collegeinsider tournament. Which interestingly is a tournament set up exclusively for mid major conferences- since most will never, ever get an at-large bid to the NCAA or NIT. I realize not prestigious, but it is earned and distinguished a mid major with a winning record versus one without at the very least. No reason to decline.

Checked the CIT website. CBSSN will do 4 games from noon to midnight on MONDAY.

Yes. Book it. Apparently the decision was made earlier in the week. Chad had it on the broadcast Thursday.
