the ball was going out of bounds and Potts made no attempt of going for the ball. He went right at the Western player (Tay) and threw his shoulder right into him. Like a football block.

I personally think he acts like a whinny ******* and that opinion has nothing to do with Western getting beat. Also I hardly ever comment on players like this. And I will leave it at this one opinion and not get into a back and forth with fans over it.

That is bull****. That play you're talking about should have been a foul on your guy who SHOVED POTTS OUT OF BOUNDS. You are way off base on this one. Check it yourself. It's at 16 minutes if you recorded the game. Potts is in front of your player and going for the ball and gets shoved out of bounds by your player. He didn't throw his shoulder into him, that is just wrong lol. Three angles on that one.

That and Giddy almost never says anything on the court. About as humble as they come.

Congrats MT. Too bad you guys don't play UTK--maybe in the tourney.

Meanwhile--Memphis looks to be about the 6th or 7th best bball team in the state, lol, but probably the 1st in football. The world turned upside down!

Potts humble? Lmmfao. I watched him last year trying to get in Upshaw’s grill over something late in a game. I loved watching Reggie get right back in his face. I always liked Reggie but that exchange made me like him even more. I don’t know who Giddy thought he was talking to but Reggie gently reminded him. Giddy tucked tail and went on.

I saw JJ and Giddy embrace after the game, and have some conversation.

They leave that crap on the court.

Of course they did. I was just bringing it up for the folks that were portraying Giddy as some humble little kitten. He was trying to get in the grill of one of the best all time Blue Raiders that I remember. I was surprised/tickled that Reggie went straight at him and settled it right then. You guys went on to win the game. Hell, it might have been the NCAA first round game. I can’t remember. I didn’t just make it up out of thin air.

I didn’t see the physical exchange that people are discussing in this thread. But I also don’t picture Giddy Potts wearing a Hello Kitty dress and giggling like a Japanese Schoolgirl hiding her mouth with her hands.

Your anecdotes don't match reality dahbeed. Have you watched every MT game? Oh you haven't. Do you know what he's like on campus or in the community? Oh that's right you don't. You observe one event over four years and create a label. I do believe you are better than that particularly in today's social media mob mentality that's out there.

What you saw and describe is someone who is a competitor. Thankfully, if you are the hello kitty dress wearing type you probably aren't going to make it through Kermits practices but you don't get to paint Giddy. Sorry, you don't know enough to speak intelligently on it.

That was at the CUSA final vs Marshall last year. Reggie and Giddy were jawing heavily during the middle of the second half. Two lead dogs on the team working it out. They laughed about it during a post game and quickly turned the page.
