Who Owns Our Tier 1 TV Rights?!?!?
This is pathetic. We seem to have absolutely no major television coverage whatsoever in basketball. Right now, WMU is playing Ball State on ESPN2. Manhattan is playing Iona on ESPNU. There is a difference between playing midweek football games compared to basketball.

This is horrendous, there is absolutely no way we have a worse television footprint than than the teams above. I like BEIN and Stadium at times, but I have sat through countless "C-USATV" (streaming) games that have been bad quality and you pay monthly for something that isn't really worth it.

My point is that the teams in Conference USA deserve better than what the administration is Texas are giving us. You cannot tell me that people would rather watch Manhattan(13-15) play Iona(16-12) in a crackerbox high school gym than watch Marshall take on ODU like happened last night. This has to change because we as fans deserve better. The schools in conference deserve better. For Pete's sake, I'm embarrassed to watch Marshall play on "National tv" in the tournament that is basically an AAU even like I used to play in.

This is BUSH LEAGUE... and I hate it!

You are 05-deadhorse and we heard Joker Jeep Judy say they did their absolute best to get the current deal which is a pretty ridiculous thing for an FBS conference commissioner to say given how bad the coverage is.

Judy may be a wonderful person. But this is business, and the top of CUSA is pretty good this year. With ZERO exposure.

She is not getting it done. Time for some new blood.

Raise your hand if you thought our CUSA Commissioner couldn't get worse than Britton Banowsky.

Our AD says that will announce new television deal most likely at conference tourney.

Says it involves a lot of "streaming"

Says Facebook really making a presence in Frisco

It will be spun to us that we are "cutting edge" "the future" and "mobile device friendly".

I've got smart TVs or Internet ready DVD players , so i can get there. But we aren't ever going to get casual viewers with online /streamed broadcasts.

Why in the world would some of you think espn wanted to pay for CUSA? This is what happens when as a conference you tell espn to go stick a finger up their ass.

This was setup way before Judy took the job. As for the bad quality that's the responsibility of the school producing it. If it's so bad then you have the 2nd part as to why espn is not showing.

So now we have the top 2 reasons
1. years back CUSA was ready to sign with espn...with in a few days CUSA switched to a contract with FOX/CBSS and told espn to pound sand.

2. some schools in CUSA puts out ****** product that is not good enough for streaming much less TV and it does not meet the low standard of espn3

this **** gets rehashed almost weekly and I see at least one person has a answer from their AD. How many others asked this question to the AD of your school? A very simple email should get you that info...

but then we couldn't have this weekly threads
