UTM has been pretty abysmal the last several years, haven’t they? Outscored 42-9 in four games against Troy last weekend. Not sure how much of a break it is.

for RPI, no.....however, we lost 3 road games that turned into 3 home games.....

from the expense side of the equation, it's an unexpected bonus....

it's also a positive we get to experiment a bit with the lineup....

moving Monte to the 1 spot is a biggie.....I'd rather see Guidry in the 6 vs. the 8, but that's just me....

Our relief pitching sans the one who gave up the 2R HR followed suit as they struck out 4 over the final 2 innngs. Granted UT Martin was only hitting .169 coming into the game but for our pitchers to get 18 of the 27 outs via the strikeout is still dominating.

ODU drops series opener 11-3 to Kansas State.

Rice and Stanford tied after 5, 2-2.

Canterino has only thrown 56 pitches through 5 though, and we chased Stanford's starter.

Through 3 1/3 innings Kansas State is putting it to ODU 7-0 in Norfolk. They have only given up 1 hit thus far.

UTSA's home game today vs #3 Texas Tech was moved to Woff Stadium home of San Diego AA team in San Antonio. UTSA's small on campus ballpark was not going to be able to hold the large crowds.

Rice up 1-0 on the Cardinal in B4.

USM gets embarrassed in game 3. Lost 13-10. We were down 7-1 in 5th and gave up a grand slam to go down 11-1. 4 errors did us in as well as allowing 15 hits. Only bright spot pitching wise was only giving up 3 walks and 2 of those were intentional walks to set up a force play.

6-4 Stanford in T8.

Rice has the tying run at the plate with 1 out.
